Leading Players in the Mobile Marketing Space Participate in "Blowing Up Sound: Emerging Technology, Consumers and Choice - Crafting the New Marketing Model"
A Mobile Entertainment Symposium sponsored by Bank of America's Media, Telecommunications & Technology Equity Research Team and Interep, a sales and marketing company specializing in Radio, the Internet, Hispanic Television and complementary services, was held yesterday in New York City. The event, "Blowing Up Sound: Emerging Technology, Consumers and Choice - Crafting the New Marketing Model," attracted over 150 members of the advertising and financial community, as well as panelists and speakers from the leading companies in digital technologies, mobile entertainment and marketing/advertising. The event focused on the opportunities and challenges that mobile entertainment technologies offer today's marketers.

Tim Love, Vice Chairman of the Omnicom Group, delivered the keynote address. Mr. Love spoke about the impact of technology on breaking down international boundaries and facilitating the communication and information exchange between cultures. He encouraged business leaders to �Think Like the Sun,� referring to the need to think beyond one�s own world and expand one�s frame of reference. He also pointed out the importance of young consumers, whom he referred to as the �Global My Media Generation,� a group of consumers who rely more on the Internet than on any other medium, and value word-of-mouth over either advertising or editorial content
The afternoon keynote was delivered by Andy Cohen, Founder of Exposed Brick, a marketing leader in interactive brand strategies. A professional magician, as well as a renowned speaker, Cohen used magic to demonstrate the importance of challenging one�s assumptions in order to achieve market leadership. In addition, Brian Wieser, VP/ Director of Industry Analysis, MAGNA Global presented his original research analysis, entitled, "Mobile Video and Advertising: A Global Overview." Eric Logan, Executive VP/Programming, XM Satellite Radio, participated in a one-on-one leadership interview.
